You have to keep on trying & you can't let that opinion bring you down. the only opinion that matters and yours no one else's. You gotta keep on trying to prove her wrong & to make YOUR DREAM come true
Keep singing, and don't let anyone stop you, no matter what :) If singing makes you happy , then "sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls; every time that you loose it sing it for the world!" You can get a singing coach if you don't feel that confident in your voice, but what ever you do, don't let people's negative opinions knock you down, let people's positive opinions lift you up :)
arabbit is very right actually. I mean, I k new plenty of people from high school who wanted to be singers and that was just one high school. There are at least 20 high schools in the state I live in (at least). So with there being at least 30 student wanna be singers and at least 20 high schools, that makes 600 wanna be student singers in my entire state. At least 600. Multiply that by 50 and you get 120000. Those are a lot of people; plus people from other schools.
Why must you be famous to sing? There's other singing jobs out there. There's voice coach, vocal teacher... If you really love to sing, you shouldn't let one comment get you down. There's gonna be haters...
If you really feel like that this is something that you want to do then you have to put a lot of dedication into your music to make it to the top. Start of by taking baby steps. Ask if you can perform at a local coffee shop , or in places near town to get you started. First you got to write your own tracks make sure you got at least ten tracks to get the crowd going and maybe even throw in some covers in there. Usually the first place you should start is make a you tube account. Prove her wrong step up to the plate and I know that we all will be hearing from you real soon ! Stay tuned everybody !
Well it sounds harsh but maybe your mom is right? Maybe sges just telling you the truth so later on down the road when someone else tells you, it wont effect you so bad. But if you really want to be a singer, you have to work a lot. Vocal lessons. Auditioning. Sing on YouTube. You have to get yourself out there.
Don't listen to your mother when she seems to be putting you down about you being enthused with singing. Just ignore her and go for that dream of singing I believe if that's really what you like and enjoy then I bet you have the lungs and voice or a professional singer. And your mother needs to stop being so harsh with saying that nonsense to you don't listen though and reach for that dream and goal....
The best thing to do is work hard at your dreams every single day and practice.practice, practice and believe in yourself trust me i want to be a singer and i know how it feels when somebody says something hurtful about the way you sing but like i said don't give up ,believe, and practice so that one day when you're selling out huge arenas and ready to go on stage you can say to your mom: " I did make it." or if you want to put a little more sass into lol you can say: "And you said i wouldn't make it." Hope this helped :)
Hey i know what your feeling right now , but listen to me right , you should only listen to your mum about things you need to listen to but when it comes from you do whats best for you , you should always follow your heart , if singing is your dream dont give up keep on practicing because your dreams will come true , JUST BELIEVE AND NEVER GIVE UPI!!!
i concur your moms a bitch follow your heart and go after your dreams prove your mother wrong they hate it when you do that XD LOL but seriously go for it and work hard at it if you want something bad enough and put in the time you can accomplish anything
Don't let anyone take away you dream. I have a degree in Performing Arts. Here is some advice. You need to get a singing mentor. Start by going to as many teachers as you can. Get advice from a professional not your mom. Then go to many auditions as you can. You have to love auditioning because you will do it all the time. Then for most of us Performers have a regular job to suport this dream. And the job can suck. But that the trade off for living your dream.
