I wish I'd seen this question earlier!! I have an issue with Michelin tires...but that's a novel in itself ;)
I do highly recommend Firestone, Goodyear, Kelly, or Yokahama. I run Firestone or Bridgestone (same company) on my steers exclusively...I trust them because they haven't failed me in 16 years.
Oh...I had to divert up to the I 40, but should be blaring the horn for you by the end of the week. I'll give you a heads up when I'm heading that way!!

Thanks for the info! Discount tires talked me in to a new set if Micheleins saying that they make a set of store/dealer grade tires which is what they took off my car. They guaranteed me this set was a different/better quality under the Michelin name. I've made one trip to ft worth and one to Houston on them already and they are soooo quiet and give a much better ride. It even handles like a different car.

I'm home sweltering all week ( with a few drs appts thrown in. I'll look for the heads-up and listen for the honk !! Be safe!

I think that michelin is more for city and rain; Stop-Go driving. But for highways, try Good Year.
