What's the difference between gross pay and net pay?
Gross pay: The total of an employee's regular remuneration including allowances, overtime pay, commissions, and bonuses, and any other amounts, before any deductions are made.Net pay:is the remaining amount after deductions from the gross salary, where net means ultimate.
gross is what you make a month or annually (say 800) before taxes. after taxes is your net (so it might be 750 after that)
Gross pay is everything you get before expenditures, I'm not sure the difference between that and net
Net Pay is what you get to take home after all the taxes and voluntary deductions are subtracted from your gross pay.Gross pay is the amount you were promised at hire; if salary, it's a set figure per month which may be broken down by your pay frequency (weekly, semi-monthly, twice a month, etc).
gross pay is the total earned. The net is what you have left over after Uncle Sam sticks his hand down your pants.
Gross Pay = Before taxes etc. Are taken out.Net Pay = Take home pay
