place yourself in a situation where other people are dependent on you for something, but fix the situation so that you cannot fail. once you come out the other end, you will feel great. Volunteering could be one of those situations. even better, volunteer at a senior center. the elderly are, for the most part, very good listeners, and they can also have some cool stories as well. sometimes getting stuff off your chest is the only way to beat insecurity.
Do things you enjoy or youd think you enjoy to get out of your comfort zone. Compliment your self. And if you or someome is saying negative things about you, ignore it. Don't dwell on flaws or imperfections. Always Embrace your self. (:
Ok I seen a couple answers that contradict themselves try embracing everything about yourself even the bad things when someone makes fun of say your haircut tell em ya that's the last time I fall asleep in the yard on mowing day! Just make jokes of THIER insults and actually make yourself laugh also spend time on your own doing things instead of thinking
Make friend with the right people. Have fun the right way. Date the right people. Don't make stupid decisions that will effect you in the future. Don't let others or what others got to say bother you. Brush it off and walk around like you the damn shit because you are. Just remember self-esteem is what you make of your self feel better so do the things that make you feel right about your self.
Elb is right about the way you walk! Walk tall and straight! Hold your head up. Walk with confidence and confidence will come. You don't need to swagger or knock people down in the mall, but do walk like you know where you're going and life will come easier for you.
