Would a faulty sensor cause an engine cooling fan to race. Engine temp is normal.

Fan seems to race a lot more than it used to. Coolant level is ok.

It sounds like a sensor or a bad relay ! They both are temperamental ! Take it to a Certified shop and have them do an electrical check on the system or a good mechanic will know right off !

It would as the sensor can cause the fuel control to fail which can make the cooling fan to go on and off. If you have noticed this problem, it would be best if you take the car to a mechanic for proper diagnosis.
