If consuming starch causes an offensive body odor, could this mean they can become diabetic?

When my husband eats excessive starch, in the morning he has an extremely offensive body odor. His father was diabetic and I wonder if this could be a sign he is headed in that direction.

If the starch such as pasta has garlic that will give him body odor--curry too. Diabetics will have a "fruity" smell.
You will not get diabetes from starch unless you are predisposed to it ie family history or become extremely obese and tax your pancreas. Your MD can do a simple test to reassure you.

IDK about body odor, but yes starches will cause a blood sugar spike which can eventually lead to diabetes.
