Get a not-so-new thing called "shampoo".

If you use dish soap which should work. Since it dries your hair out you should condition it, too. But, shampoo should do the trick.

Mouthwash? Seriously? You must be desperate. Try an old-fashioned shampoo like Prell. Some of the mane shampoos for horses (I'm not joking) might be effective too. Be sure to scrub your scalp well enough to clean it but not so fiercely that you stimulate too much oil. If those aren't effective, try Dawn dishwashing liquid, it's used to clean up animals who get caught in oil spills. But be sure you have an oil-free conditioner ready for after trying Dawn.

I get grease hair too if I don't wash it. I use head and shoulders and that seems to work. I also when I'm in the shower wash my hair twice. I soap it up rinse it off then do it again. Hope this helps.

if you use lots of products your hair will reject it if its healthy so just stick to one shampoo and make sure you rub it in your scalp

This will sound odd, but ADDING oil to your hair will reduce the oil production.

Why?
You are using products and shampoos that strip the oil from your hair. So your body compensates by producing more oil. It's a vicious cycle.

Go to a health food store and buy a bottle of "jojoba oil." You only need a small bottle. Starting on a Friday evening (to give you a whole weekend) wash your hair well, then apply the oil to your fingertips and massage into your scalp, and brush any excess through your hair. Sleep. Repeat the next night, but just take a shower without washing your hair (I know I know, but you have to do it to get your body to slow down production.) Wash your hair Sunday morning if you can't stand it. Then from now on. massage a little oil into your scalp after washing.

You should also consider a gentler shampoo. I use Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap, then a vinegar rinse, then jojoba oil (only every so often, anymore.) It keeps the pH in balance and isn't incredibly stripping.

Use conditioner in the shower. It slows the amount of oil your scalp makes.
