When dating someone do you count anniversaries by months or by years?

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 2 months and 3 days. Do we count anniversaries by months or years?

In my opinion it should be years. Almost anyone can have a relationship for a month. Years are more of a commitment.

I'd say years, unless it's like, the first month anniversary or half-a-year anniversary.

I count it by months lol but some people have told me by years, i would say do what you like most. I prefer months because we have something to look foreword to each month. (:

My boyfriend and I go by months. But we don't celebrate them. We just make sure to spend the day of our months anniversary together. We've been for 6 months. We will celebrate our one year for sure.

The word "anniversary" means "returning yearly" in Latin.

When people go by months, it seems kind of pathetic to me. If it's a serious relationship, then I don't know why you would only go by months.

depends on ur age...im in 7th grade and in my school most people go by months (probably cuz no body can keep a relationship for longer than that) lol after I year I would go by years though :)
