Hi, Alinarockss. My vet laughed at me one time when I took mine in and said she had a fever. He asked me how I knew and I told him that her ears were hot. He said that a lot of times a dog's ears will get hot, but that doesn't mean they're running a fever. Well, guess what? Yep, she had a fever. He said he'd never say anything to me again! I think what you need to go on is whether or not that is unusual for him. We're usually very in tune with what our babies are like, and if his ears are not usually warm, then he probably is running a fever. I'd get him to the vet tomorrow. Hopefully, this hasn't been going on for long. I sure hopes he starts feeling better soon.
Hot ears is not a sure fire sign of a fever, and it could just be normal. Does the inside of her ears look fine, with no redness or odor? If it is red and smells, then she probably has an ear infection and needs to see a vet. If you are really concerned you can take her to the vet the next day that they are open, but as long as she is acting okay I wouldn't worry about it.
