What is the best food to make for a 1 year old boy ?

Report as

At a year old he shouldn't be picky. Feed him healthy food. Are you wanting a snack or a meal? For a snack, give him fruits and/or veggies. For a meal, make him some chicken breast with veggies.

Sounds like you're doing well with your "diet" and gym plan! How's it going?
Report as
The diet part is going really well. I am mostly just eating fruits and vegetables... that is all I pack for a lunch anyway... sometimes I pack some hard boiled eggs too. My gym routine is iffy... I guess. I go to the gym on Sat and Sun. but I get my cardio by riding my bike home every night. I bought some barefoot type shoes to run in.... I hope they feel better than my running shoes do. Running shoes are hurting my feet. Feet hurting is discouraging when trying to run.... and I know it is the shoes.

I fell off the bandwagon. Trying to ... get back on I guess. I'm discouraged. You know how that works. Glad it's all working out for you though!

I fall off the bandwagon from time to time too. Nothing wrong with that. I just make a point to keep working towards making this a permanent habit. I dont mind getting old.... I just want to keep looking like I am not.

With my depression, being extremely sick, and then quitting soda and the withdrawal symptoms I've been going through, ALL BACK TO BACk, I don't have the energy to do it.
Report as
I understand how that goes. Have you talked to anyone about the depression? Have you tried walking? When I was going through some pretty severe depression I found just walking made it easier to get over it. I would walk for miles and miles.
Report as
I'm fine (depression wise) now. St John's Wort has/is really helping. Right as I started feeling better from that, I got extremely sick, like thought I was having appendicitis. Turns out it was from eating movie theater popcorn, which always makes me sick. Then right after I was well from that, I gave up soda. Which is literally kicking my butt. I seriously slept all day on Monday. And took a couple hour nap last night. Work last night was extremely hard on me. I think I did this too soon from getting over my depression and being sick. But it's been a week now since I had a soda. I figure another week and my withdrawal symptoms should be gone. I did manage an hour long walk last night, and went hiking on Saturday. But that's all I've done (exercise wise) since I got depressed. Now I'm lazy again. And have to start all over.

How important is it for you to quit cold turkey? Can you not allow yourself say two or three a week? Do you drink anything as a substitute? Coffee or tea? The sugars and constant intake of acids is the bad part of soda... plus the chemicals. I would think it would be ok to wean off of it if it is causing that much trouble.
Starting over is ok... You havent lost your endurance or anything I am sure. Just get back to it when you feel ok. It will make you feel better.

If I don't quit cold turkey, I won't quit at all. I know myself well enough to know this. It's pretty important to me. I've been drinking soda for 20 years. And even though it's diet, it has some nasty side effects. Just knowing (now) that I was extremely addicted, isn't something I enjoy. Drinking it has no health benefits, and I guess I'm trying to take baby steps to becoming healthier. (I'm not even sure if this is why I did it, I didn't do it on purpose). I don't drink anything as a substitute. Every once in awhile when my headaches are unbearable I'll take a couple midol, which has caffeine in it. I drank about three sips of unsweetened tea today, and that's all the caffeine I've had in about a week. I've been drinking a lot of lemon flavored water.

Lemon flavored water is good... I do that often myself. You know YOU better than anyone.... and if you need moral support you better know that you have it from me. I will always back your play.
Everything else ok? Did you ever talk to your boss about the guy he left in charge?
Report as
Yup, what he did wasn't correct. My boss in fact wasn't even going to talk to the guy, which I knew he wouldn't. But my boss's boss, told him he had to. I'm assuming the other guard who was having issues with him, called and talked to him. Anyways my boss talked to him and he hasn't given me any trouble since. But that's all that happened. Which is really irritating. He should have been wrote up or fired IMO. But.. there's a reason I'm just a pea-on.
Report as
LOL... I understand about being a pee-on. At least he was talked to though. His behavior was appalling.

I guess I am gonna grab my puppy and go to bed. He likes to sleep at my feet.... at least until he wants something then he lays next to my head.
