Is there anything I can do to alleviate a migraine without medicine?

I don't have any migraine relief medicine and my head is pounding.
Any suggestions?

Get a warm rag, and lay it across your head. Make sure all sound is gone and all lights are off before you lay down. It might take a minute, but it should go away.

This one may seem strange.. But it often worked for me in the past.
Fill wide sink or tub with as Hot water as you can stand, lean into it placing your arms down into the Hot water so they are in there up above the elbows. Do this for about 10 minutes, then lay down with Ice Cold cloth or Ice Pack on neck & forehead.
The warm/Hot water pulls blood away from your head, relieving pressure, the cool/Cold pack continues doing this..
Also take Aspirin and a Tylenol or any ibuprofen, Both together.
Hope this helps, Migraines ...UGH!!

thank you! I'll definitely they this as soon as I can. I have two small kids so headaches are a lot harder to deal with especially when I'm out of aspirin. :( It's hard to keep up with these munchkins. lol.

If you can't take time to lie down, wrap a long scarf arond neck to hold Ice Pack on back of neck anyway..better than nothing.

Believe it or not, my great aunt used to hold a steel knife blade flat against her forehead for about half an hour. A real big one. She did this for a cousin of mine once too and he said the coolness of the blade felt good and it actually relieved the pain.

Stay away from heat and bright lights. Also try to eat something I usually get headaches when I go to long without eating. Like when I'm at work and don't eat in my break them continue to work.
