What does it say in the bible about the end of the world.

Report as

Sadly, the Bible predicts a downward spiral of catastrophes, human sin, and religious apostasy before Christ returns. Paul writes, "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. . . . Evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived" (2 Timothy 3:1, 13). The world will continue to reject God, His Word, and His people.

That one day the earth and Heaven will end one day, but only God knows when. Then He will remake them both into what He wants them to be.

It, says that no man knows the day! So don't believe anyone that tells you when it is, just live the way you would live if it were the end of the world and you have nothing to fear

The bible doesn't speak about the end of the world as something physically destroying the world. When the bible mentions the destruction of the world, it is referring to the day of Armageddon that God will bring in order to destroy the evil people that inhabit it and don't serve Jehovah God. They are the "world".

It's pretty complicated to get into on here. Basically it's about Christ coming back and binding Satan and his for a thousand years. We finally have peace.

Revelation 21..........
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

In Revalation, it speaks of "A new Heaven and a new earth , coming down out of heaven!"
First, the rapture ( no one knows the time or day or hour) /then 7 years of tribulation time/ then 1000 year
( mellinium) of peace with Satan in the bottonless pit/ then Armegeddon/
Where WE WIN!
Then Eternity with a new heaven and earth. Hope this helps!
Read Revelation!

Daniel and Revelation tells us about end times. It's confusing and one really needs understanding and wisdom of Gods word to understand. Too much to go into.

The study of how religion says the world will end is called "eschatology". It's quite fascinating. Please peruse this gigantic list of predictions made by religious people about when the end of the world would come, and think really hard about it every time some new zealot tries to tell you the world is most certainly going to end in.....September of 2016. Also keep in mind that you are here reading it, so none of these came true:

I knew a guy who lived in Adelaide during the 1970s when it was predicted that they would be wiped out by a tidal wave. He said he spent the whole of Doomsday on his roof, sitting in a rowboat. He wanted to be the first man in history to catch a White Pointer 200 feet above the city.

Have you seen some of the videos on YouTube of people documenting their last days on earth before 12/21/12? I still wonder how dumb any of those people felt on December 23rd.

Why the 23rd? I remember the video of that Campbell character, refusing to talk to reporters.

The apocalyptic books of Daniel and Revelations are so written that they are interpreted by many people different ways, often that is the reason another denomination of christian comes about, Jehovah's witnesses is one example. To add to Novels link with a list here is another that list many many of the said "end times" predictions:

Jesus said in Matthew chapter 24 that there will be many signs of the last days and of the conclusion of this system of things. Earthquakes, famine, food shortages, and wars are just a few of the things Jesus spoke about to his disciples. This is exactly what we're seeing today, and day by day it only gets worse. So we can rightly conclude that we are in the last days and that this system is soon coming to an end.

" But no one knows the date and hour
when the end will be---not even the angels. No, not even God's Son. Only the Father knows. The world will be at ease---banquets and parties and weddings---just as it was in Noah's time before the sudden coming of the flood; people wouldn't believe what was going to happen until the flood actually arrives and took them all away. So shall my coming be." (Matthew 24:36-39. Living Bible. The scriptures say no one knows not even Jesus himself. No matter what any religion tells you.
