Why does my lower stomach area hurt when I stretch or cough?

It might be because of an overly intense workout I did or my recent cold might have weakened my stomach. help?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's your workout, you should take some days off and just stretch

You just answered your own ? It's easy to pull an ab muscle especially if you've been busting out a lot of sit-ups, crunches, & oblique twist, side bends etc. Toss in a cough or sneeze, what occurs? A tight squeeze like you're posing. Give your abs a few days off, that means play video games. Anything that effects your cardio is a no no, because -where's your diaphragm located you got it.Get some icy hot, Ben Gay etc., nice Epsom salt bath, heating pad, ibuprofen & a few days later you;ll be ready to rock. Take your time ease back into the workouts, if you mess it up again you risk tearing it up, & that will take 6 to 8 weeks or worse

this has happened to me a may be because of a really good lower body workout you did.
