You actually have to have something called a Job where you earn money. That is income. Food stamps is money that functioning members of society earn from their job and have to hand over to lazy 43 year olds. You can not claim someone else's money as your income.
The food stamps are not considered as income by any state government. This is because they are not taxed and are reported as part of assistance from the government. The card is not used to purchase things in cash but can only be used when redeemed.
