one equilateral triangle has sides 9 ft long . another equilateral triangle has side 11 ft long find the ratio of the areas of the triangles

The area of the first triangle is 35.1. That of the second triangle is 52.4. The ratio of their areas is therefore 35.1:52.4 since the numbers cannot be simplified further. Since that the area of equialtrial triangle = [(Square root 3)/4] x a^2 <-- so it depends of the square of the side length
Since that; a1 : a2 = 9 : 11
Thus; A1 : A2 = (9)^2 : (11)^2
