Many Americans don't like "girly" small cars and they have no room for families.

They're very popular - in England, where they're from.
They're not very popular in America because America has a very serious obesity epidemic going on, and most Americans can't fit inside a Mini Cooper.

They seem popular, Or at least by their sales.
I guess in some areas that type of car isn't 'favored' as much.

I thought they were popular. I see them all over the place. My sister loves hers except when it needs service. It's expensive because they're made by BMW. I think they are kind of girly, which is fine if you're a girl.

Since it?s rebirth in 2001, the MINI Cooper has brought smiles to motorist?s faces across North America and Europe. With its grinning front grille and happy LED headlamps, the Cooper instantly became a bit of a cult classic -- especially with those who had owned original, first-gen Austin Martin Minis. With BMW?s acquisition of the MINI marquee, the Cooper saw a brand new engine capable of pushing out more than 200 horses -- a far cry from the 34 horsepower the original ?60s Mini Cooper kicked out.

Cute features aside -- because this is, after all, a men?s publication -- the ?new? MINI Cooper (as it?s still referred to these days, even though it?s been on the market for nearly a decade) has so much more to offer than adorable looks and the ability to park virtually anywhere. The Cooper, since its debut, was deemed the car that drove like a go-kart. And BMW really wasn?t kidding. It?s not just some marketing ploy to bring in all the driving enthusiast who wouldn?t dare consider the cuddly Cooper -- they bloody well mean it, especially with the MINI Cooper S model.

I thought they were popular.
I wouldn't mind having one if they weren't sooo small and girly.
It would look good in the bed of
the 4x4 F350 crew cab I had.

Not small enough like the originals made back in the 60's and 70's, they have lost the plot with the current design just to large, and they aren't unique like the old ones, same as the VW's, not like their early models any more.
