Judaism, as the oldest of the Abrahamic religions, begins with the affirmation: "Hear Oh Israel: The Lord our God, The Lord is One!" It was not the first monotheistic religion, but arguably the most successful. Christianity began as a sect of Judaism, identifying the Messiah (that Jews have always expected) as Jesus ben Yusef of Nazareth, born circa 4 BC and crucified circa 33 AD. They differed primarily on the person and work of Jesus, and the necessity for Gentiles to keep the Mosaic laws. Today, Jews do not consider Christians to be a legitimate sect, but will accept other believers of other purported messiahs as Jews, perhaps because the early Christians were repeatedly persecuted, and Jews had to distance themselves to avoid this persecution. In the seventh century AD, Islam began under the leadership of Muhammed, a prophet who heard the voice of God while meditating in a cave around the year 610. The voice said, "You are the Messenger of God" (this being the title more frequently given to him by Muslims than that of prophet). Muhammad later decided he had heard the archangel Gabriel. He also found certain words "in his heart" (that is, his mind) as he meditated. Friends helped to convince him that he was called to convey messages from God to the Arabs as Moses (c. 1392- c. 1272 B.C. ) and Jesus Christ (c. 4 B.C. -c. 30 A.D.) had done to the Jews and Christians. He continued to receive such messages from time to time until his death. They were collected into chapters and make up the Koran (Qur'an). The Koran, though sent through Muhammad, is held by Muslims to come from God. Jews use the Torah, Tanach, and various writings of sages for worship and study. Christians use the Old Testament and the New Testament as their book of worship. Muslims use the Koran and the Hadith as their books of worship. There is a common core of ethics and morality shared by these religions, as well as a central monotheistic core, but enough differences to say they are at best distant relatives. Catholics are merely one denomination of Christians, as a 10 dollar bill is a denomination of American currency. A dollar, a five dollar and a 10 dollar bill are all money, yet different denominations. The same is true of Christian denominations: different on face, same in use.
They are different religion, although technically Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity. They all worship the same God, the God of Abraham; however Muslims call him Allah and believe that Mohammed is his prophet, and Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of God. Jews and Christians both call him God, and Jews do not believe that Jesus was the Son of God, and believe that the Messiah is yet to come. They all started from the same person, Abraham.
If we assume that someone doesn't know anything about any religion or any recognition of God of any kind, He will be sure search in all religions now and it will be shown for him what is the goods and bada in every religion. The three monotheistic religions that we know from God are Islam, Christianity and Judaism. All these three religions, have one message which is the belief in God and unification and God deserve the worship alone, and this is the message of all prophets and messengers from Adam to Muhammad. But let's compare some basic things including: First of all are one religion and one message. Second, that God left the task of keeping Christian and Jewish for monks and priests, and God mentioned that He will not save them from changing. Third, order of Islam is the last religion for the human on this earth, and our Prophet Muhammad is the last prophet on this earth. forth, God did not call for Muslims, save the message and Quran but God saved them himself. Fifth, all religions before Islam have been distorted. If you or anyone doesn't know about religion and all that simple data offered to you! What are you going to do? As the three religion its origin is it from God. And they are all calling for the standardization of creator. And Islam is the last religion. Our conversation somewhat rational what you chose? Will you choose a nation, for example, which says that Jesus is God or Jesus is the son of God? Or who do not believe Jesus !!! Islam is the religion of God, the oneness of God and true knowledge and faith in Him, and the Quran "God's word" which cannot by untouched by changing, and no one at all will be able to say like this Quran, and Islam have full knowledge any one need in his life and this knowledge all is from God. After all what I said: Words I love to Conclude. It is time to find out about Islam. It is time to find out about the truth by using your own Mind. A Time for Thought. A Time for Change. A Time for Action.
Catholic: a denomination of Christianity; although, they're more of a physical church than a spiritual one Christianity: followers of Christ Jew: they believe in the same god as Christians but they call him Yahweh; they follow mostly by the old testament and believe that Jesus Christ was not the Messiah Muslim: they follow the revelation of Mohammed, who went somewhere to improve himself and came back with a revelation; they're not actually as bad as you might think
They are all abrahamic religions and worship the same god. Jews were the first, and we believe strictly in the Torah( Old Testament) Christians/Catholics came next, and they worship Jesus, and the New Testament. Muslims came next, and they believe in the Quran, and the teachings of Mohammed.
