Im from NY.I grew up in NY. Now I live on Long Island. New York is an amazing place, but the people can be rude. The air in the city, for instance,is not as good as the air where I live now.Everyone is rushing around and when 12 o'clock hits, the streets become filled with businesspeople rushing to delis to get lunch. But there is no shortage of amazing things to see.
I assume you mean NY city. It is a very busy place. It is literally the city that never sleeps. There is no shortage of things to see and do. It can be quite expensive, but anything you could possibly need at anytime of day or night is usually just a few blocks away. As a visitor I would suggest being very careful of who you talk to. There really isn't much hospitality. You don't just say "hello, how are you?" to just anyone....they'll look at you like you're crazy. Haha! Overall I think its an amazing place to visit, and I would certainly go again, but there is no way I could live there.
This city or the state? NY city has lots fun city things to do. Like museums and shows. But you go into NY state you'll find amazing waterfalls mountains and hiking. I loved the Adirondack mountains. Saw High Fall Gorge and Ausable Chasim.
