How do you microwave brownie mix?

school project

Report as

It?s very easy! I started doing this last summer because it is so much quicker and it doesn't heat your kitchen up. The following will make a small bowl of brownies - just about right for three people. Simply buy a good brownie mix, semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips, and some heavy cream. Pour some brownie mix into a small mixing bowl and slowly pour in enough of the heavy cream to make the batter a good consistency. Then pour in a half cup or so of chocolate chips and stir well. If it is too thick, pour in more cream; if it?s too thin, add a bit more brownie mix. Pour into microwave safe glass bowl that has been lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Microwave on high for about three minutes and then check for doneness by lightly pressing on the top. If a lot of batter sticks to your finger, put it back in for 30 to 60 seconds more and recheck. It should be done and it will also firm up a bit while it cools. You can then just spoon the brownies onto individual serving plates - no need to slice them. This method makes better brownies than oven baking. They are gooey and chocolatey delicious and this little made up recipe has never turned out bad for me! Hope this helps!

Thank you SO much for this. I was just up late and too lazy to make real brownies....this took less than 5 minutes, was delicious, and I didn't even have to use eggs! You are the best for this awesome suggestion.

I just tried this. It's a fantastic warm treat. I had to experiment with how much time I put it in the microwave. Using 50% power or even 20% power lessened how much splattering would have occurred if I would have just left it on full blast the entire time. I must say, if you're expecting the same consistency as fresh-out-of-the-oven brownies, think again. On the other hand, I love chocolate, and this was delicious. I actually liked how it came out a lot more moist and than a regular brownie. I made it in a small, glass pyrex and ate right from it with a plastic fork at work: wonderful!

To microwave a brownie mix, you need to use various ingredients such as baking powder, eggs, milk, flour, cocoa powder and sugar. The preparation directions involves mixing all the ingredients together and pouring the mixture onto a microwave pan. Heat for 2 minutes and decorate using chocolate syrup.

You put brownie mix in the microwave…but that's going to taste disgusting. Make the brownies from scratch and the bake them in the oven like any normal person...

Seriously? You ever stop to think maybe someone doesn't have an oven... that theirs might be broken? Obviously no from your stupid answer... also you're too stupid to know they will not taste disgusting!

What kind of a person doesn't have an oven??? Also, apparently you have no taste buds because you think that microwaved brownie tastes good.
Report as
Apparently you have the cookie skills of troll; I am sorry but I have done MW brownies, cookies, cakes and pies and they are all just as tasty as any silly oven. I don't even use the oven anymore unless there is something that actually needs it - like roasted veggies.

As I said, you don't have (good) tastebuds. But that's your loss.

If using a mix, check out the microwave instructions. But, make sure you under cook it. You can always put it back in. Anything w/flour will be hard is overcooked. Remember, it will continue to cook 5 minutes after you take it out and will be much more moist than an oven baked brownie!

Or you can just use a commercial Brownie mix, place in silicone Baking ware cups for individual and cook for 45 secs to one minute in a 700 watt unit (less time in higher power unit). It might take a second run at 45 secs, depending on the thinness of the mix.

And they taste as good as any 'baked brownie' and you with individual cups you have a half dozen brownies in as little as 5 minutes. I use it all the time to make travel brownies.

Microwave brownies?! First of all, oven baked are much better if you ask me, but if you don't have an oven, you might want to check the side of the box.

You can't be serious? Fifty Minutes? Don't you mean fifteen? If you tried to bake them in a Microwave for 50 minutes (unless your using less then 50% power for a 1000 watt oven) then your going to have a visit; from the fire dept when it catches on fire....

I keep a box of brownie mix in the fridge and whenever I want a brownie I spoon some mix into a mug and stir in milk until it has the consistency of regular brownie batter. Microwave for a few minutes depending on amount of batter and microwave watts (eyeball it). Then, while it is still warm drop a scoop of ice cream into the mug. You're welcome.
