The trinity is a self-made logical trap that most Christians conveniently ignore when the subject is brought up. There can be only two possibilities... 1) Jesus was the human son of god, in which case Christians worship two gods and thereby are breaking their first commandment. 2) Jesus is both the son and the father, if so god sacrificed himself to himself to appease himself and Jesus never suffered for mankind's sins. Quite the dilemma.
The mistery of the divine trinity yes Jesus is the son of God and yet Jesus is God but what I see in that verse is that Jesus even though he was God he was humble praying to his father and was asking for the father's blessing well thats how I see it Jesus is God incarnated "the son of God"
People get this mixed up a lot of times. One time, my dad was praying to God on a matter similar to this (it might be this very thing,) but He said that God told Him, "I am God, I have a Son, and I have a Holy Spirit." Jesus is the SON of God, not God Himself.
The trinity is three 'personalities' you might say. The father is the creator, The son is humbler; he embodies God's human nature; the spirit is god's extreme wrath, and justice, though, the spirit was talked the least about in the bible. So, to answer 'was jesus praying to himself?' it's the power he has to be in two places at once; soon earth and in heaven, so he was praying to himself, but mainly to set an example to the rest of us
1tim 2:4 there is one God and one mediator between God and men, a man Christ Jesus./ Matthew 3:17 look also there was a voice in the heavens that said this is my son, the beloved whom I have approved" three times in the Greek scriptures our God Jehovah aknowledges Jesus as his Son.
Matthew 24:36. " But no one knows the date and hour when the end will be ---not even the angels. No, not even God's Son, Only the Father knows." Living Bible. Please read the scripture. It says "nobody knows" We don't know because God didn't tell us and we aren't God. Continue reading please, "neither the angels" the angels don't know because God didn't tell them AND they're not God. Please continue to read "not even God's Son" Why doesn't Jesus know?? Because God didn't tell him and he's not God. Let the scripture speak for it self. this answer is for the person that asked the question.
