After working out, if you stress the muscles, you will feel some soreness the next day or two. This is called DOMS or delayed onset muscle soreness. It's normal. This soreness is due to taxing the muscle beyond what it normally experiences and small small mico tears in the muscle fibers, injury soreness is different. A pulled muscle, strains tendon, etc. What kind of pain are you experiencing? You shouldn't work the same muscle groups everyday. I workout each muscle group one day aw week, giving my body time to heal and recover before the next workout. and yes, after years of bodybuilding, I do still get site after a hard workout.
It depends on how often you lift weights, how strong you are, and how many did you do, and how heavy the weights are. If you are a beginner you should be sore for the first portion of training but soon it wont hurt as much or be sore.
Yes and no....if you're not sore then you're not working hard enough! But if you become too sore to the point of pain and unbearable discomfort then you're runnin the risk of overtraining!! overtraining is no good because your muscles are not healing properly and therefore will not grow! you need to give each muscle 48 hrs of rest with the exception of core muscles which can be worked basically everyday!
