The best thing to do is to understand what they have done and not dwell on it much, be thorough during the Pre-Sentencing Report and consider all necessary legal or business issues. Plan the financial support if any and talk about expectations.

Find a good support net for yourself. This might include a good therapist to help you learn yo cope with this and other issues that may arise as a result of what you are feeling. look for a support group that you could attend. Maybe do some research online and see if there are any forums with people going through the same.

Above all, take care of yourself. Set some goals that you can work towards and reward yourself accordingly. Try to become strong enough and happy enough with yourself to not only survive but flourish on your own.

I would pray for him and if you really love him and know him you would know he would want you to still live your life and be healthy and be safe and take care of your bussiness and keep life moving and if you really love him you could wait for him but being around family members and friends will help you being active and doing alot of stuff you love doing will help this is a perfect time for you to spend with your children or family or following your dreams and making things better for yourself and so when he comes out he can have a fresh start and you guys are in a good place and happy and now can focus on each other and having a life together good luck hun.

We don't need to know what he did to suggest help. @ Bri is here, Please take a deep breath when ever you think of your loved one. Was it a court decision that you can't see them or is it because of age? can a friend write and send packages for you? if so, continue to support him that way. If he doesn't always respond, just remember that sometimes mail is censored and communication is lost. please find the support groups the others suggested. Good luck

You're welcome! Hopefully you will be old enough to see him soon. Prisons are pretty gruesome for any one to see, especially a young person. When you hear those prison gates clunk as they shut you in, it is a chilling sound you will remember for the rest of your life. It's pretty darned scary . Wait a while, go to a support group and get a solid perspective on the situation. Good luck. Bless you and your loved one.
