I'm not sure how to deal with or think of this, concerning my pet Love Bird

Okay, so when she's in her cage she doesn't want my hand going near her at all and lunges at my fingers. But she's never actually bitten me HARD, the first time she did it was more of a warning I guess? Could it be that she's protective of her cage? When she is out of her cage she always comes to me and sits on my computer or behind it (I think it's because of the warmth that it gives off...) and I'm the only one that she seems to not be afraid of being around. Sometimes I nestle her on my lap with a bunch of blankets and she sleeps there for a little while. What really bothers me is that she really hates being touched and tries to bite my hand.
She isn't afraid of my hands going near her but she hates being touched.
I was told that taming her wouldn't take long but it's been almost half a year since I've had her... She's still a baby if that influences how long it takes to tame a bird....
how do I get her used to being handled or speed up the process

I have the same problem! Except that mines are grown ups (I have 2) and they are always wanting to bite me and I just got them last Monday, and I don't know how to train them at all. And I can't take em out of the cage either, because I'm scared if they "run away". Good luck though! and if you fine a way, please respond! :)

Try to pet her and see if she reacts. If she tries to bite you, don't go in for another touch, things will get worse. Try to feed her something in your hands, and then try to pet her.
