I'm 13 year old and bi and my parents are really religious like 100% so they would kill me. How do I tell them?

You're 13 and too young to be engaging in any adult type activities, some things are better left unsaid, you don't have to share everything with everybody including your parents, keep this to yourself and mature a little bit longer, and then maybe in time and only when it's appropriate then you could reveal it to them...

I was thinking the same. This way they won't think of me as a young idiot who don't know anything.

I think you make more sense than I do... :)

are you really bi? are you willing to kiss a girl??? if yes, then tell them something like this : Mom, Dad, I just want to tell you that I like guys, but I also like girls...
They won't kill you if they love you... they will only be mad then they will accept you

Start off by saying: "God doesn't make mistakes and so he made me like this for a reason. Mom, dad, I am bisexual and I hope you can continue to love the child God gave you."

Is there a reason for telling them now? Unless you plan on flaunting your sexual identity in front of them any time soon, I'd hold off on telling them. If your parents and you have had an open daily dialog, there's a good chance they already know. Good luck.

Your right. I am holding off maybe till I'm like 70 or something. Well like 18. And no they don't know, they don't exactly pay attention to my interests.

70 is a great age to tell them!

I think you should just come out and tell them. I mean they can't sit there and hate you forever. You've got to do something and it's about time a lot of people decide to go against sexuality traditions and be proud of what they're interested in.

I'm trying to figure out what to do myself. (I'm bi too) . I'm not worried so much about acceptance as i am about them telling everyone they know. You could explain to them that you want to pursue both men and women, alot of extremely religious people detest homosexuals sadly but maybe telling them you like the best of both worlds. I really don't even know what to say so...

You just tell them, and ignore every rude and religious comment they say.

Are you saying your just attracted to other girls? I hope your not sexually active at such a young age. You should not say anything until you have matured enough to become sexually active, give it 5 years then you'll know what you really want.

Well how do you know when your straight? You just don't say your sexually active. Just because I'm bisexual does not at all make me sexually active. It means if a female loved me truly I would accept that and love that female back and the same would a male gender. I'm not a dumb 13 year old.

It doesn't matter if I'm sexually active. I thought a elder would know love would come before sex.
Report as
I only asked if you were sexually active. In a perfect world love would come first, but in the world we live in today too many get sexually active, not out of love, but just to have sex!

At the age of 13, I don't think you have a clue about your sexuality. I think you should give it more time. I believe you are just confused

No. You just don't know the type of person I directly am. 70% of the time that answer would be right. I'm sure I'm 100% sure

If you really believe that you are bisexual, then ok, but do not feel the need to tell the world . Since you are sure that your parents would not approve, then I would put off telling them, it will only make things worse. This is one if those situations where I think you should wait it out

They're your parents, they might be hurt at first but i'm sure that they'll still love and support you the same. The best way to bring it up is to just sit down with them and tell them that you need to have a serious talk with them. Then tell them that you are bisexual and tell them that you don't want them to treat you any differently.
