Is it bad to buy stolen stuff. Is it considered stealing for you (not legally) but being Christian/Catholic? Is it sinning?

Report as

It's considered stealing no matter what religious background you have. Anyone with an internal moral compass would know that by buying stolen things, you are adding fuel to the fire.

Should I throw away the items because I feel guilty...If I throw it away someone will be mad but I know what he's doing is wrong.

Ok someone bought it from the stealer then gave it to me should I throw it away? Is that's the right thing to do?

I'd say give it to charity. Or try and give it back to the store/ brand.

Any chance you can give it back to the person? If not, maybe just know for next time.

Can you return it ? I dont think you should give it to anyone but you probably dont want to get the other person into trouble. Maybe just decide to never but anything from them again. It is good that you want to do the right thing.

if you buy something stolen it is still considered stolen. you and the person who sold that item will go to jail. and in christianity i think it would be sinning unless you dont know

Buying stollen stuff is paying criminals cash for their crimes, of course it's a crime, illegal and punishable by jail, fines, community service and public shame.

For the Christian, yes, it's sinning, and, against the law.

Stolen stuff that you buy one day might haunt you when something is stolen from you.

Knowingly buying stolen items is the same as actually stealing as you become an accessory. Since it breaks the laws set forth by our leaders and God tells us to obey our leaders then breaking the law becomes a sin. Also if you want something that isnt yours so bad youll take it knowing you have no right to have it youve broken the commandments against coveting AND stealing. God calls theft evil.
