Is snow clear or white?

there was a big debate at my school about this and I was wondering.

clear because snow is like ice and if u take a close look at ice it has white on it so snow is clear

it should be white,but when it melted it's clear

Snow is as clear/white as a polar bear's fur.

Look at the ice in your ice cube trays. It's clear, but bubbles or imperfections refract light, making it look white in spots. Snowflakes are clear, but look white because of dust or when they are piled up and diffuse light. (Actually, inside a snowdrift it's a bluish tint).
