Hi, Ruia. From the research I did, I found that Konrad Zuse invented the first freely programmable computer (or the modern computer) in 1936.

excuse me, but can you tell me he special purposes of a thermometer?

Ruia, I'm sorry, but I had to leave right after I answered your question and am just now finding this. There is only one purpose for a thermometer that I know of and I have found:

Thermometers measure temperature, as opposed to heat. Temperature is an intensive property of matter, whereas heat is an extensive one. The Arctic Ocean has more heat than a boiling teapot of water, even though the latter's temperature is much higher, because extensive properties depend upon the amount of stuff you have.

Hope this helped.

My understanding is that no one person invented the computer. It was a combined effort of many people over a long period of time. However, the Eniac, I believe, is recognized as the first digital computer.
