The places in which it is legal have shown a decrease in crime and STD's, so that alone would make me say yes. Add to that the income generated by taxation and the ability to contain it to particular locations and thereby assuring safety and modesty, and it's a win, win.
For what reason would you want it legal. Taxes or not getting arrested. Having sex for money is really a low for women. Most get involved because of run aways needing to survive. Many are forced because of pimps. Maybe legalize would help the women who got involved. The thing is is it moral. it is a good question hard to answer.

Not sure about that. I think it gives off the wrong idea. I mean, I'm sure some prostitutes are okay with what they do, but then there are many who get trapped and are treated horribly. It seems like a sad and immoral profession that often degrades women and I don't feel our country should promote it by making it legal.
