How can I learn to wake up to an alarm clock and not press snooze?

There is one type of alarm clock that runs around the room when it goes off and you have to catch it to turn it off. That ought to do it.

Put the volume really loud on something annoying (like "MEEP MEEP MEEP"), and keep your alarm clock away from your bed so you can't reach it and press snooze.

Get a alarm clock with a snooze leg that's the button, I use an alarm clock like that hard to press try one

Put your alarm clock in a place that forces you to get up to turn it off. Make sure turn it to the loudest as well.

There is a new alarm clock that is set to ring as well as start a dull light; as the seconds pass the light gets brighter, like a sun rise. This is helpful if you need a light to wake up. This may be expensive but for cheap you can go to Lowe's or Wal-Mart and buy a wall timer. This plugs into a wall socket and then you plug your lamp into it. Whenever you set the timer the lamp will automatically turn on, the light in your eyes will help along with an alarm clock to wake you up.

Put your alarm clock as far away from your bed as possible so you have to get up and walk a while to get to it. That's what I do.

If you have an iPhone for an alarm clock, set the noise to somebody cursing. You know, that guy on YouTube who yells and he's really angry and stuff. That ought to send you laughing your lungs off, and you won't feel tired anymore. Aren't I a genius? And, for added effect, Put the alarm clock in the room closest to you. That way, you'll have to get up.

Move the Alarm far away so you have to get out of bed(The bathroom is an option, I mean, you're already there, might as well splash some water in your face to wake you up, that's what I do.)

what i usually do is ask my sister to hide my alarm clock real good so in the morning i have to walk around my room to find it, and by the time i do i'm pretty much awake, hope you find a solution (:

schedule one week where you can devote at least 8 hours of sleep prior to getting up . It takes about seven days to establish a habit. this and and an alarm clock blasting music from across the room and not eating sugary snacks before bedtime should do the trick.

get one without a snooze function. There is a kind of alarm which can run on floor. You have to catch it in order to shut down the ring...

My younger daughter threatened to break any alarm clock I purchased (when she was young). She got up on time when she had to be @ work early. Money is a great motivator!!!!

whenever you wake up to it, remember that you have places to go and people to meet! that might allow you wake up to the alarm clock. i heard of ones that start of quit but gradually turn louder until you wake up. if you dont already, get one of those!

Move your alarm clock out of arms reach near a light source, so that when you have to get up to turn it off you will turn on the light and then that will wake you up.

I struggle with the same thing. There are a bunch of alarm clocks meant to stop the snooze. One will jump off the night stand and roll around. You have to run and catch it. I put the alarm clock across the room and focus on shutting it off and going to enjoy my coffee.

By opening your eyes and sitting upright the moment your alarm rings...!!!

or also by having proper time sleep... which doesn't trouble you when your alarm rings!!
