Is there anything I can take to help increase my memory?

I'm forgetting things constantly. Simple things like class assignments, words, & sometimes names. I can't spell words I know sometimes. I'll be there struggling to remember. I get severe headaches. I forget conversations I've had, & sometimes when I have something important to say I completely forget what I was going to say. Is there something I can either do or that to help my memory?

Fish Oil is a great supplement to improve brain activity as well as memory. Fish Oil contains Omega-3. Omega-3 has eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) which are essential acids needed for all brain activity. Omega-3 has been proven in clinical studies to improve memory loss and promote neuron and synapse activity in the brain (what I found in research). These are the electrical parts of the brain that sends signals to the rest of the body (for things like moving or feeling). Alzheimer's cannot be reversed but I believe Fish Oil, which you can find in pill form that contains Omega-3 helps memory loss more than any other vitamin you can find. I personally take Fish Oil pills and have been capable of remembering more things in detail than I ever have. You can find this supplement any where, Wal-Mart, drug stores or even a dollar general.

Also what helps me is keeping a journal, write everything important down that happens during your day. Buy a nice notebook, sit down at the end of each day and write what you think is worth remembering. Then at the end of the week or whenever is good for you read back over what you have written. This will spark memories in your brain and help you to start remembering.

Gingko Biloba, also you should have your blood sugar checked. Sometimes that can make people feel a little spacey and disconnected.

Eat 4 soaked Almonds everyday, it will increase your memory. But drink lot of water too, it might create more heat in the body.

Try to eat healthy, take vitamins and play memory games, Sudoku, puzzles, crossword puzzle and mean time, try to write down everything...

think a head of time
and make little trealls like marks on the bed and to remeber what that is like a red peace of tape and remeber that you have to make your bed or do the samething to your sink fosit and remeber that you have to do the dishes and just do little things like that maybe you would do it to every thing

Folic acid. My neurologist prescribed it to me to help my memory because of my bad memory from epileptic seizures.

I'm not suggesting you would smoke marijuana, but just to be sure... If you ever consider smoking marijuana, Don't. Marijuana would make your memory worse. To remember words, try reading one page Out Loud per day, of any college level text book. This will help words flow out of your mouth that you would not normally use in every day conversation.

Aspartame, msg and other food additives such as colorant are known to cause issues such as concentration problem, forgetfullness, headaches, insomnia. So if I were you, would try one week without soda, chewing gum, chinese food, food with glutamate/msg or natural flavor as ingredients, and see if it helps
If the problem become chronic, I recommend to see a chinese medicine doctor would will give you a full diagnosis and could help you by telling you what is provoking that and why.

Pills that could help with memory and overall brain function: Omega, Choline, Folic Acid, DHEA/DHA. Avoid MSG and vaccinations with Mercury preservatives in them (you can ask for mercury-free vaccines). (mercury binds to the cells in your brain.)
It's also best to take a multi-vitamin DAILY, you could be missing nutrients, which the first thing to be affected would be your memory, also keep in mind that if you're low on energy or tired your memory will be affected as well from that..

If find these things help me:
1. Get enough sleep.
2. Stay organized. Have a set way to record checks you write, a set way to keep track of library books, a set place to put your car keys each night, etc.
3. Try to understand more instead of memorizing. For instance, I never could remember the rule about the apostrophe in the word "its," until I found some reason for the rule.

DO you snore? You might have sleep apnea. Even a mild form can affect your memory and concentration.

If you are under 30 then treat sleep as a necessary part of your day. It will take about a week of at least 8 hours and all of a sudden you will just be thinking clearly and it will be like you woke up.
Do not under any circumstances partake of any recreational illegal substances. There is a reason we all make fun of stoners..
Turn off all iPhone, PC , tablets, laptops etc in your room or at least put them on silent. Turn the lights off in your bedroom and eliminate any led lights from clocks or chargers or power strips.
Get covers that will keep you warm and before bed, eat some light carbs, just a cookie or two and some milk or water. Just enough to wash it down. Now focus on falling into sleep. The sun will still rise and you will not have missed any great tweets or posts but you will feel tons better.

I would seriously check in with your doctor. Short term memory loss like that is it indicative of hormonal and blood imbalances caused by a variety of things, including poor dietary habits, lack of proper vitamins, lack of sleep and such. In particular the headaches are something that need to looked into, that could be a clue. It can signal things like blockages in the veins going to, or in the brain.

Vit E with a chewing tablets of any vit Cwhich is a anti oxidant combination & for sure fish oil twice a day. Please don, t drink milk with fish oil. All the best.!!!
