Can you harm your kids by leaving them crying and screaming all day in there room..

Oh well then I think you need to tell them what they're doing wrong and have them understand that if they do something wrong then they will have to be punished. All day is too long though depending on how old they are. A short time out is good enough, but if they continue to misbehave put them back in the time out area.

Then they shouldn't have to stay in their rooms all day. They are only toddlers, they don't know better. You have to teach them with small punishments to help them understand what is right and wrong and how to correct their behavior.

How old are they, how long are they being left in the room and why are they being left in the room crying and screaming?

The fact that you dont have a good explanation as to why they are being put in the room makes me think you lack a bit of patience with your kids. They are 3-2... I think giving them a 5 minute timeout is enough for now... if they did something wrong. You have to be able to explain to them why they are being punished...

I think leaving a 3-2 year olds in their rooms crying is a form of abuse.

OMG are u serious 3 and 2?!?! and u lock them wow im sorry but ur kids need to be taken away from u! that is ridiculous..if u dont kno how to handle kids nd make them behave u shouldnt be having them...that just RIDICULOUS!!! I feel soo sorry for ur poor babies!

I agree... her kids should be removed from her house into a home who will provide and care for them... this is completely wrong. Sometimes I wonder why people have kids if they dont want them...

exactly!!! just to have them or becuz they were "accidents" these ppl dont deserve children..this is just soo sad!! :( im like soo pi$$ed i wish there were something i could do to help these babies...

Well,there is really no need for that,calmly,talk to children,disscuss what they did wrong and give them a short time out. And perhaps they might passout...or sleep of yelling

if they are being grounded, then no.they need to know their punishment is real. if they are grounded to their room all day, then thats where they need to be...crying , screaming, or not.

Don't do this! Communication, always. Showing them early, what's right and wrong, will keep them from crying and screaming. Our children are now adults, and talking with them helped them thru childhood.

I hope you're kidding. If your kids are being left in their rooms ALL DAY and are so upset about it they are yelling and screaming - and you do nothing about it - YES you can emotionally harm them.

If you are doing this, your kids should be taken away from you. They deserve better.

Children should never be left in their room all day. That is cruel. If you can not handle your children any better than get some help or give them up for adoption. You need help.

Children should never be left in their room all day. That is cruel. Get help,,,,learn how to deal with your children. Children need love. Please get some guidance,,,,before you harm your children.
