I want to replace data in excel columns with data from a different sheet

I have an excel file with items & cost. I'd like to replace the cost with data I have in separate sheet but I want it to correspond to the item.

Report as

Select all the new data by dragging the curser across it.

Press Control C

Put the curser on the first location you want to copy too.

Press Control V

OR

Place the cursor on the first location that you want to replace.

Press =

Select the first location you want to copy

Press Enter.

Then select the first replaced location and drag over the area you want to change.

i have some excel experience. if the data is not numbers; it should still work without asking for the formula. otherwise you can use ms word or other program to create tables and no formula. just my guess. good luck.

If you just want to copy data from the first sheet to another without altering anything, then you should copy and paste the same. Just go to the column you want to copy and press control+C, then go to where you want to paste it and press control+v.
