In most cases, Ginkgo biloba extract is sold as memory enhancer, and is used therapeutically for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate age-associated memory impairment and dementia (includes primary degenerative dementia, vascular (multi-infarct) dementia, as well as Alzheimer’s disease. Some scientific results also found that Ginkgo biloba leaf extract may also be beneficial for the treatment of early diabetic retinopathy and senile macular degeneration.
