OK it has been raining all night and when i walk why are there hundreds of worms on sidewalks and streets?
Worms breathe air as we do, and as the soil fills with water, they could drown, causing them to come to the surface to breathe.
because worms need air too, and when it rains it saturates the ground
There are worms on the sidewalk BECAUSE it was raining all night -- the answer is in your question! All the rain water kind of "washes them out" of the ground, out of their wormholes. :)
Is it raining hard? The worms must have been eating something that someone must have spilled on the soil. Therefore the rain is washing them at surface everywhere. Kinda like a flood for the worms.
Get 'em! They're bait! When it quits raining, go fishing!
It flooded them all out. Rock chalk jayhawk!
same thing mine is worse the worms are on the roof and the walls and the streets and then the seagulls go crazy and if they dont fry on the side walk the birds pick them up
