What kinda of questions should i ask when buy a truck from someone?

So I want to buy this truck that i found on a sales list. It is a 1955 Chevy 3100 5 window. I want to know more information about it before i actually buy it.

The number one thing to do is check Kelly blue book and make sure it's not stolen because you would be put in jail if you buy it:)

Unless they've owned it since 1955 they probably won't have all the answers. I like to know why the person is selling the vehicle. I'm not a car guy, but you should do research on that vehicle. They might tell you that it has a brand new engine but not tell you the chasis is rusting apart. Also, if you have a friend who is knowledgeable about cars make sure they're available.

Ask them to let you take it by a mechanic to have it checked out first. If they refuse, move on. Those are some good old trucks. I have a 55 Chevy stepside, a 58 Chevy panel truck, and a 53 Ford. My favorite era for vehicles.

a '55 model would be a collector car, not something that you could rely on and drive safely around. I have owned several old cars, and while they are fun, they are scary to rely on especially in traffic.

You should ask if the car has insurance! For more information visit this site: http://barfield-insurance.com/why-do-you-need-full-coverage-auto-insurance/ and learn everything you want to know!
