How do you get rid of keratosis pelaris

I'm not even sure if i spelled Keratosis Pelaris right.. listen I'm 13 and I have had it basically my entire life... it makes me really really self conscious! Its not rare, but most people don't know about it unless they, or a family member, have it. I personally have it all over my legs and arms, and then its more rare to have it on your face, and i have it there too! I hate it sooo much, i know its kind of impossible to get rid of it completely but you can at least help the redness go away! I have this lotion called KP Duty, and it is supposed to help, but i am terrible at remembering to put it on everyday!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Not sure how to get rid of it, but I do have some tips on to remember to put your lotion on. If your parents are okay with it, write something on your hand to remember to put it on. Or if they don't let you, say out loud to yourself 5+ times "Put my lotion on, put my lotion on... etc" before you go to bed. When you go to bed, your brain kind of backs up everything that you learned that day and produces dreams because of what happened that day. Since your brain is backing up info, repeating that before bed will help you remember to put it on. Hope that helps! ^_^

It is best that you see a dermatologist for more help on your condition. If you have a prescribed lotion, then you need to make sure that apply as indicated. If you have problems remembering, then you need to set up reminders on when to apply.

I have that as well (Keratosis Pilaris). Here is a link that talks about some treatments. Different things work for different people. The main thing is to keep your affected areas moisturized.

I just found out what it was about 3 years ago.....I am 48.
It never really bothered me though. No one has ever said anything about it. I have it on my upper arms.

You are old enough to see a dermatologist. You should really go see them about your face. The lotions used for KP are not good for sensitive facial skin. I ma sure your mother will take you if you ask.
