Can you get the new IPhone as a free upgrade (I am due to get a free upgrade in three months) from Verizon?

or do i have to pay a partial payment to get it?

Yes you can get an upgrade from Verizon. After upgrading, Verizon provides a set of upgrade instructions to enable you change up fast. To make it easier, you can use a backup assistant, which is a subscription product included in the new service.
