Some people have Insomnia and physically can't sleep. Some people take pills, some ADHD meds keep you up, and some stay busy and just pull all nighters a lot. But it's not healthy not to get sleep and after a while you can't say up any longer. Some people actually die from not sleeping if you honestly don't sleep for long enough. - sorry I didn't read the other part, you could always drink and energy drink, candy, coffee and stuff.
I am one of the ADHD people. I stay awake by playing games or just listen to mrcreepypasta. I have a bed time in my mind. i stay up a little over that time and then when i try to sleep i cant. so just stay awake as much as u can when u start yawning and getting sleepy. i just do this and i can stay awake all i want.

Most peole don't choose to stay up all day and night, they just have insomnia. your body however must sleep to function correctly therefore if you don't sleep fors days on end then you will mostly likely become extremely moody and sometimes even depressed. I don't advise it. Been there done that.
