What are some really sad books?

Ive read Letters to God and My Sisters Keeper, but those are the only ones I've really found that are truly sad.

The boy in striped pajamas is so sad. Even three years after reading it, it still brings tears to my eyes.

There's an excellent autobiography called:

"I Raise My Eyes to Say Yes" by Ruth Sienkiewicz-Mercer & Steven B. Kaplan

It's a true story & it's very sad... but more importantly, it is very inspiring! If you're feeling down about anything, read what this woman endured -- disturbing, amazing, horrific & just incredible. Certainly made me think, made me realize I needed to be far more grateful for... well, everything.
Check it out, it's a quick read, excellent story & I have a feeling you'll enjoy it as much as I did! :)
