a good scripture that you can compare it to to get your answer is proverbs 17 :15 anyone pronouncing the wicked one righteous and anyone pronouncing the righteous one wicked even both of them are something detestable to Jehovah.( good is bad and bad is good) / Matthew 15 :6 and so you have made the Word of God invalid because of your tradition.( darkness for light and light for darkness) / 2nd Peter 2 :3 also with covertness they will exploit you with counterfeit words( those who are putting bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.)
Being evil and bitter isn't socially acceptable, and only bad things can come of it. It will cause you problems (woe), and help you lose friends and family, and make villages gather at your door with pitchforks, and torches. This is a common concept of many religious beliefs. Be good and good things will happen to you, be bad and bad things will happen.
In dense darkness it is impossible to see anything. One easily becomes lost or disoriented. Similarly, those in spiritual darkness lack perception and soon become disoriented in a spiritual sense. They can lose the ability to distinguish truth from falsehood, good from bad. The prophet Isaiah spoke of those in such darkness when he wrote: “Woe to those who are saying that good is bad and bad is good, those who are putting darkness for light and light for darkness, those who are putting bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20) Those who dwell in spiritual darkness are being influenced by the god of the darkness, Satan the Devil, and consequently they are alienated from the source of light and life.—Ephesians 4:17-19.
