How can I teach my boyfriend to smile properly in pictures? (For prom!)

I know it sounds cruel, but he has a crooked, awkward smile in every picture he takes, so I need to tell him how to smile properly. How does a guy smile in pictures?? Thanks!

a mirror will be helpful..you can ask him to smile in front of it, and helphim find the most beautiful one. next time when taking a photo, he will remember how to do it

Smile and tell him to smile like you.
Brush his teeth if needed.

Oh please, we've been together 6 months and I love him more than my own life. He was the one that pointed out his smile to me in pics. He asked me for advice and I didn't know what to tell him, so I asked Ask.com.

You don't love him more than your own life, don't exaggerate. It's just hormones.

Ouch. What if i didnt love life all that much, eh? Maybe my life is utterly terrible and I absolutely hate life and I just happen to like him a little bit? You don't know me! Now, this is not the case, as I happen to love my life very much. I've struggled a lot, especially in the past few months, and he has stuck with me even when I was pushing him away. He has proved time and time again that he loves me and i cant seem to explain well enough just how much I love him. I love him so very much. Obviously, you havent had much luck in that field, as I havent had much luck in any field of life but that, so I am very sorry for you. But, may I assure you that not all teenagers are simply hormone-crazed idiots? Maybe some are, and I realize that, but I know I am not, and neither did you before you jumped to conclusions. No worries, I forgive you for that.

Why are you so worried about this? Is this really worth possibly making him feel bad...cause you will if you aren't careful!

He actually revealed this insecurity to me and asked me for advice on how to smile, but I didn't know either, so I asked the Ask.com community. I wasn't trying to be mean or anything :/

Well if he asked that's different. :))

That seems like it would make him feel bad... You guys will laugh about it later if you just let it go.

Oh... Sorry. I didn't know that. Maybe if you both stand in front of a mirror and practice? :)

That's a bit cold . How would it make you feel if he was trying to "fix" you or told you he thought you had a crooked awkward smile . You probably would be hurt and not feel very good about your smile and would have another reason not to smile . Watch what you say people have feelings it's not all about how "good" you look in your prom picture .

I am not wanting to 'fix' him at all! I'm just trying to help him out, as he asked me to. I wasn't trying to be so cold. If anything, he's the attractive one in our relationship. ;D haha, but seriously, i love him very much.

You don't have to "teach" your boyfriend anything, unless he wants to. I'm sure he isn't a dog.

He asked me for advice on it, and because I had none to give him, i asked ask.com for some.

Oh... Sorry.

Well, is it more of a physical problem or is it just the way he has always smiled and it's more of a habit?
Report as
It's just a habit i believe, but it really bothers him I guess. He just wanted tips on how to smile straight, but I guess all anyone had to offer were insults to me. :[ wonderful. Haha, oh well. I'll have him google it or something if he's still stressing about it later.

He could try practicing different smiles in the mirror. He could pick one he likes, and try to use it, whenever he smiles.
