Hi Claire thanks for helping me find all those comments, I'm glad you remember that show ,they used to play it once a year, but stopped in the mid70's, I'd be delighted to see it again. Um I'm going back to see the purses on Michelle's coat, I do like me some gold hardware, that's that urban chic look that I would like to make my anorak jacket work around. I must tell you that I haven't worn my coral flats yet, but I have been wearing my new bag. It's like a big roomy clutch , but not so roomy for my sunglasses (Rachel Zoe calls them "sunnies" :). Or my keychain, or my hairbrush, so now I'm looking for a coral, peach, orange, or burnt orange , tote bag to carry around the little bag and the stuff the little bag won't hold :). Funny right ! But it would be so I could just grab the purse and leave the rest in the car. Also I guess a smaller key chain would help too :). Mine has one of the Harijuko (sp?) girl dolls from Gwen Stefani's fragrances( you know, the Japanese punk schoolgirl line that she designs?). Mine's blond, like me (with help from John Frieda's box of magic :) . With pink and re leather hearts, it makes me happy to have charms on my key ring. What does your key ring look like and do you carry a purse? Big or small? Do tell....also, I have my eye on a Gap shirt white with medium blue 1" apart stripes. The mags are pairing this type of striped shirt with floral printed sweaters and jackets, or floral printed jeans, and the look is incredibly cute and trendy, I have always been hypnotized when patterns are beautifully mixed and combined, it surely must be one of the hardest things to do well!!! Gotta go, too long!

I have a BIG Coach purse, hobo style, black, with black billfold and make-up bag. I have had them for years and they still look brand new.
Then I have another black Coach with handles for dress-up. And I have a tan, back-pack style Coach.
My keychain! It is a Coach letter C, leather in red. C - that's my initial!
Some years ago my sister, Ellen, bought me a Coach charm, a green letter G, the initial of my last name.
Then she bought me a round silver charm, with C's and little crystals.
(There's that C again!) Then she got me a charm with little mini-charms that dangle. The mini-charms are all for good luck - a magic 8-ball, a horseshoe, a lucky 7, a 4-leaf clover,
a dice, and a horse shoe. All of those charms are hooked on to my purse
AND she got me a Coach scarf in black and cream with (you guessed it!) C's on it. So I tied it to my purse. That was FUN to tell you all that.
I need a new straw purse for summer.
Sometime, go to EBay and do a search for Coach charms. They are really cute. Later gator, C.

Oh Claire I'm so please to learn you like charms too! What a hoot hearing about your bags! I do admire Coach bags and the way they are timelessly stylish! how wonderful is your sister to make sure you had the bells and whistles to complete the look. And they make you so happy, they make me happy too, you are so dear Claire :). I just finished watching "Enchanted "ABC Family it's on tomorrow too,I was thinking of you :) and now I'm watching "Tangled"! Oh they just launched the flying lanterns to celebrate the princess's birth!!! Did you like those Kathy Van Zeelander bags back a few years ago? Each came with its own matching keychain dripping with crystals and pearls? I had a collection! But eventually i grew tired of jewel encrusted bags, Theyer a little too much for me now, but I had my day! Okay now the horse is chasing the outlaw guy...haha! This part is so funny, gotta go, be back later, gator:)

Oh! I want those new summery raffia pompoms that Juicy Couture is putting on their straw bags. Theyer coral and orange, bright pink!!! I thought about trying to make some, pompoms aren't anything but wound up yarn or string that you wrap a certain way, and then cut a certain way to release and spread out. Well I'm distracted with Tangle, hope you'll watch too! I like Mad Men,and The Middle, modern Family, Parenthood, happily Divorced, hot in Cleveland, mike and Molly, big Bang Theory to name a few:) bye Luv, I want to pick up in Ephesians later, it makes me happy to study each verse with you, okay?

Claire, I too like to tie scarves to my bags! I got one at Forever 21 that had this harness print like Hermes, and when it would rain, I wore it on my head like Jackie O in Central Park, then you tie it to your bag when it stops raining. Sooo chic!

Cool!
!!Celebrity Sighting!!
Remember Susan Dey, the model and cast member of The Partridge Family? Well, she was the best friend of a girl in my freshman dorm, Cindy. And she came to visit Cindy. Susan was extremely thin. Later on I read she had an eating disorder

Cool! I used to adore the Partridge Family! And Susan Dey too. They would do stories about her in Tigerbeat magazine like we should want to be like her, but it turns out that she was unhappy inside, it's sad. Satan fools people with lies, that is why it's so important to stay in the Word :). Well, I'm out for the night, I enjoyed the little chat , night, night Luv

I remember Tiger Beat. You recall the band Dino, Desi, and Billy? Dino was Dean Martin's son and Desi was Lucille Ball's son. I had a huge crush on one of them but I can't remember which one!
Here are some bands I saw in the sixties: Beach Boys, Dave Clark 5,
Paul Revere and the Raider, the Beatles, The Who, and Jimmy Hendricks. More soon, Claire

Hi Claire! When I was about 8 (1967ish) I was fortunate to live next door to a Capital records executive, and they were a young hip couple who treated me so well. He would bring home the promo albums with not for resale stickers , but he brought we LuLu and LuLu earrings big plastic rings on clips, not hoops, you know the ones she made popular? And Gary Puckett Union Gap "young girl, get of of my mind...", AND Paul Revere and the Raiders! This one was "going to Memphis" I believe. That Mark Lindsey was the first long haired boy I had ever noticed! And to this very day, I notice long haired boys :). I didn't marry a long haired boy, but there's something about them...Simon and Garfunkel. Back then we called them "singing groups" remember? The Cowsills? But my point was a) we lived in the greatest time in history, had THE best music! The whirlwind of technology! My mother saw it from Model T's to phones you could carry in your pocket , amazing! I was the only kid who ordered a book about Woodstock from my weekly reader book club, remember that? Remember Sally, Dick, and Jane? Sally's kitten was Puff, what was the dog's name? Too much to take! We were blessed! This has been way better than being skull wry maids in England! Love you, I'll come back here, bye!

Oh heck! Wasn't Dino blond hair slicked back a little? Passed away in a race car? Lucy's kid so cute! And the show she did with her two teens? What about Patty Duke!?!?

I'm always walking around singing the song from the Patty Duke Show.
More later, C.

Hi Claire, I recorded the Bleatchly Circle , and recognized the lead actress from another PBS production, not Jane Erye, Jane austin maybe, do you recognize her and know the show for extra points :). We've been working around the house , there's a back porch framed in and insulated, it was full of our roomate's stuff, and now that its empty (er) we plan on sheetrocking the walls and possibly tile the floor. It's the back door area where the doggie door is, so it can get muddy. But it's a very sunny morning room type space there a whole back wall of tall windows, and when we're done, Steve has some awesome antique bamboo furniture, with " mid-century" plastic-y printed upholstery , pristine and very upscale! Like something Joan Crawford would have owned (not kidding!). So that will be exciting. I might have mentioned that John tried to install a air conditioning system here, Steve bought it at a used construction store, it's not working yet, were trying to get it working before it gets too hot, so you're all caught up, John is home can't get to Ephesians till he gets busy with something :). Bye Luv!
