Is a doctor legally allowed to lie to patients?

about illness/test results?

Report as

Of course not - they could be sued for malpractice. This doesn't mean that there aren't some unethical ones out there that do - in an attempt to maybe get them to pay for additional treatments or testing, but it's definitely not legal for them to do so.

If you are worried that your doctor is not telling you the truth about something (especailly if it's a serious medical issue), your best bet would be to get a second opinion from another doctor.

Yes, if he asks permission from a relative of the patient, but if he didn't ask permission he would be arrested and maybe removed of his license
