It probably has something to do with the fact that Ask wants to remain in business for a long time, and they realize that if they were to let all us hooligans run around here talking like sailors that they would quickly be OUT of business......
Why wouldn't they? The age range that is legally allowed to access this forum is 13 yrs old. Nothing wrong with guidelines to keep things clean and above a certain level of decency .. or censorship as you called it.
