my girl and i sleep together and I talk in my sleep so here is the question should I be held accountable for things I say while sleeping?

she thinks I should be and I don't obviously and I dont even know what im saying cuz she won't tell me.

Yeah.....your sleep talking should be held against you forever.....8)
If she is paranoid about your dreams, then she must REALLY be jealous about what you do in real life......

no, dreams don't mean anything. I think she is just being picky to have power over you. Doesn't mean that she is mean, or evil, is just the ever lasting power struggle in couples.

No you shouldn't. The dreams that you're having at the moment are responsible for what you say. But then again, if you're saying like "Oh, *some other girls name*, I love you!", then you're obviously dreaming about someone else and there would be almost valid reason for her to be mad. (almost, because still you don't control what you see in a dream)

Oh yeah and if she gets mad about something like that, she really needs a sense of humor! Me and my mother used to laugh at my sister all the time when she both walked and talked in her sleep and it was just hilarious.

The things you mumble in your sleep has about as much relevance to reality as your dreams do. Do you only dream about things that have actually happened to you in reality? .. I know I don't .. NO ONE does.

Dreams are comprised of feelings, fears and completely random thoughts. All the things that you encounter are stored in your memory and can influence your dreams .. and ANY of the dialogue that accompanies a dream.

Of course not. We all say strange things sometimes while we sleep, esp. when we dream. Our imaginings are not real & shouldn't be taken as such. Even when dreams are based on reality our unconscious mumblings don't mean they're true.

Unless you re talking about things of your life in your sleep. Or what you think of others, you could be saying it in your sleep. Or things that you did, or things that happened. If that were the case, its not about what you say in your sleep, its about what s happening in your life. Imagin if you were to say bad words in your sleep... Gby

Forget that!!!! I have been having this dream of being married to this blond girl named Ashley for about 1 year now. If I was held accountable for every thing I did in my dreams My girl would have killed me by now! Wait I do have dreams of being shot some times, but that is different. I talk a lot in my dream's I cant even begin to wonder what I say. I was told once it's a part of me that is not as impressive as when I am awake. <--- What the hell does that mean???

No. If I was her I would so mess with you. I love messing with people who talk in their sleep. You can't be held responsible. She should have fun with it...not be offended. Just my opinion.
