The thing about energy drinks is that they're full of sugar, so you'll get a burst of energy for a short time but then crash afterwards. I would suggest against it considering its soccer and there is a lot of running involved so you use that energy quickly and crash quickly.
Gatorade now has a 1 2 3 series as they call it. If it has a one on the package that means you drink it prior to exercise, 2 is for during physical activity and 3 is for recovery. Each are Formulated to provide what is necessary for each stage of the physical activity
