What kind of movement on a plate boundary causes mountain building?

Report as

Divergent as well as convergent plate movements on a plate boundary are responsible for causing mountain building. Divergent plate boundaries are created at continental rifting centers through tension. Convergent plate boundaries, on the other hand, exist when two plates move toward each other.
