Well edwardsmds, what makes you think kids are any more mature now-a-days, than they were back in the day? Of course bullying is still a problem in schools. It's a problem in life in general, graduating from school doesn't make any difference.
No. I'm not convinced that there's even a bullying problem. People blow it out of proportion. The reality is, where there's a school, there's bound to be a bully. That's just way it is. I never see actual bullying in the hallways. You'll never be able to completely eliminate bullying, so people will just have to deal with it and stop wasting time complaining. Nowadays, "bullying" is calling someone a name. The "victim" will scream and cry and whine when you call them stupid, and they'll tell the teacher. When you enter into the real world, there won't be a teacher to complain to. People need to learn how to stick up for themselves. That's what I do and I never get bullied.
Blow it out of proportion ! Are you kidding me bullying is a problem. Children are constantly being bullied and taking their lives away because of it.taking criticism in the real world is way different then being ridiculed and feeling worthless in school where you spend most of your life in
Bullying is not only a problem in the schools, but those same bullies often times do the same thing when they get to college, which shows they still have issues. I still firmly believe a bully is nothing more than a coward, and has to make him/herself feel better by making somebody else feel like crap. Bullying is not about "taking criticism" constructively, or taking advice to heed. Bullying is being pushed around, emotionally and/or physically. Anybody that thinks it isn't still a problem, either has blinders on, or simply doesn't care. A victim is NOT a wimp, nor are they weak. Quite the opposite. The BULLY is the one who is weak, and a wimp.
Yes. Bullying is one of the biggest problems in schools right now. If a child can work up the courage to stand up to them, congratulations. But most can't. So we have more bullying happening. Just because someone was never bullied, doesn't mean it isn't a problem.
