How to open my iPhone?

I can't open my iPhone..at the start, the screen died. So I tried the press and hold the sleep and the home button at the same time method. it turned on but when i updated the ios...it suddenly went blank then it's stuck with apple logo blinking on and off and and so i tried to restore it. It went successful but after that...I can't turn my iPhone on.

In most cases, you can solve this on and off blinking problem by putting the phone into recovery mode and then restoring it from backup. The procedure is available on ipod.about.com/od/iphonetroubleshooting/f/Iphone-Stuck-At-Apple-Logo.htm. If this doesn't help, have the phone checked out by a qualified mobile repair technician or someone at an Apple shop.

If its a hardware prob--you drop kicked it, etc--the apple store will fix or more likely replace. If its a software prob, the first respondent has pointed you in the right direction. If the restore gambit doesn't fix the prob, it f could be the bug is also now in your back up. Eek. you might have to wipe the whole thing, backup too.

Did you jail break it? That may be the reason why, you shouldn't do things that apple doesn't allow.

Apple allows jail breaking its your carrier that does not want you to. Apple gave me a brand new phone because of a jail breaking software issue under warranty

Yes. It is.

I thought jail breaking voids any warranty rights. I think that applies in Australia at least.

Apple doesn't want you to jail break your phone! You are taking away the money they'd get for you paying for the apps you have on your phone, that you got free since you jail broke it. Not to mention if apple wanted you to do it, when you turn your phone off, it wouldn't stay off and never turn back on. My friend jail broke her i4, and can never turn her phone off. Are you really telling me that this is legal when your phone disables when you turn it off.
