I am a horse trainer. I always take it slow. Lots of praise. You don't want to push them to hard or it can break their trust in you. If you sense it start to go badly do something the horse knows how to do and end it on a good note and just pick up the next day, just a little slower.

Well I have a horse and when you get bucked off get back on so he knows your the boss and your not just going to give up. Or you could try the easy way of bonding and he might just let you on without fuss.

My quarter horse tries to buck me off but I grab his mane and hold on until he stops then try again but that's a different horse. He's around 10

Depends on age, what training it already has and your experience.

10 almost 11 years of experience. Horse is 2 and she knows to saddle without freaking out and leads but refuses to lunge no matter what

Try going from leading to almost ground driving. Instead of keeping as much distance as longeing, use a longer lead and kind of fall back to the side while driving her forward with a longe whip In the other hand. Eventually you want to end up with a triangle. You are the point, your lead hand is one side, your whip hand the other side and the horse is the base. Once you've got that in a smallish area then you can start expanding till she's longeing.

I've tried the whip but didn't tap hard enough to hurt her but hard e ought to make most horses go and it still didn't work

Don't start straight out with this but start leading and slowly drop back and to the side. Lead like that for a while and then just keep adding to it
Make sure you stay behind the shoulder. Occasionally I've had one that has gotten by with ignoring the owner enough that I have to stung them a little bit with the whip to get their attention.
